Privacy policy

When you submit an appointment request we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, the services you are interested in, your requested date and time, any alternate time, notes about the look you want, and your hair preferences.

We also record whether you plan to bring your own hair or share reference photos, and the studio keeps internal notes, deposit, and payment references against your request so the team can manage the calendar.

When you simply visit the site, we collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view, through privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or data brokers.

We use your information to review and schedule appointments, to confirm and reschedule them, to communicate about your service, deposits, preparation, and studio policies, and to keep records needed for business, tax, safety, and dispute-resolution purposes.

When you ask for an appointment, you give us permission to contact you about that request. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We rely on a small number of providers to operate this website. Each acts on our instructions:

• Neon stores appointment records and site content in a hosted PostgreSQL database.
• Resend delivers transactional email, such as the message telling you that your appointment was confirmed, declined, or completed. They receive your email address and the contents of that message.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides privacy-friendly analytics. Their analytics do not use advertising cookies or build a cross-site profile of you.

The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics are aggregated and configured to avoid collecting information that could identify you individually. If we ever introduce a cookie that requires consent, we will ask for it before setting it.

Appointment records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for business, tax, safety, and dispute-resolution purposes. If you ask us to delete your information we will remove it or anonymise it, except where we are required to keep it by law.

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information.
• Stop you contacting us about future requests.
• Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.

These rights reflect the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Colorado and Connecticut privacy laws. We do not sell personal information, and we have never done so, so we do not act on an “opt out of sale or sharing” request. To make a request, email bookings@kimmstyle.hair. We will confirm your identity before acting on a request.

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

The website is served over HTTPS, the studio workspace is password protected, and personal details are stored in an access-controlled database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy as the studio grows or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the bottom of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced on the site.
